Instagram ships several automated replies for direct messages. None of them touches the comment section, which is where most of the volume actually arrives.

What does Instagram automate on its own?
Five things, all of them inside a chat that has already started:
- Instant replies — one automatic first message when somebody opens a chat.

They are genuinely useful and they cost nothing, because they are part of the app. They share one shape: somebody has to message you first.
What can Instagram not automate?
A comment on one of your posts. Instagram has no native way to react to one — not to reply to it publicly, and not to send the commenter a DM. That is the gap, and it is the expensive one, because a Reel that performs produces comments rather than messages.
The other gap is conditions. A native automated response fires on a keyword and nothing else. It cannot check whether the person follows you before it answers, which is what a verified follow gate does.
How does Tadlo fill the gap?
Through Meta's official Instagram API, which does expose comments. Comment-to-DM automation watches a post for your keyword and sends the DM you wrote. Story reply automation does the same for replies to a story, and DM automation handles the conversation after that.

Can Instagram automatically reply to comments?
Not on its own. Instagram's automated responses work on direct messages, not on comments, so there is no native setting that replies to a comment or DMs the person who left it. Doing that needs an app connected through Meta's official Instagram API, which is what Tadlo uses.

Can an automated reply include a link?
Yes. A DM sent by Tadlo can carry a link, which is the usual reason to automate one — somebody comments a keyword and the resource they asked for arrives without you copying a URL three hundred times.
